What is TAA Compliance?

The TAA (Trade Agreements Act) was enacted to govern trade agreements between the United States and foreign countries. Passed by the 96th U.S. Congress in 1979, the TAA is a piece of legislation approving and implementing multiple trade agreements previously enacted and negotiated between the U.S. and other countries under the Trade Act of 1974. One of the principal features of the Act is that it limits the U.S. Government procurement to US-made products or products made in designated countries. These countries include, but are not limited to, the US, Germany, South Korea and Japan.

JPL TAA Compliance
